What’s the 2014 Chevy Impala MPG?
While riding in the new 2014 Chevy Impala is a treat in of itself, what’s under the hood is a huge part of why this bold four-door is one of the most popular cars in the Bradenton area. As a nameplate that has been traditionally known for its strength, the powertrain on the newly redesigned Impala leaves little to wish for in terms of power while offering a fuel-efficienct mpg rating.
While all models are equipped with 2WD, there are two different engine options. Here’s how they compare.
ECOTEC 2.5L Four-Cylinder Engine
The ECOTEC 2.5L engine was crafted specifically for fuel efficiency. It delivers an estimated 21 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. This is still while maintaining an impressive power rating of 195 hp and 187 lb-ft of torque.
3.6L V6 Engine
Chevy really kicks up the power for with 3.6L V6 engine. V6 models run off of 305 hp and 264 lb-ft of torque, giving it awesome acceleration, whether you’re ready to go after a stop light or getting up to highway speed. Fuel economy averages around 19 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway, so even adding more power won’t decrease efficiency very much.
Safety Features
Chevy also has several available safety for the 2014 Impala that can help you to stay aware of everything around you at all times:
- A rearview camera
- Lane departure warning
- Forward collision alert
- Daytime running lamps
