What Does the Color of Your Car Say About You?
While certainly a superficial option, choosing the color of your car is a big choice. For many drivers, this big choice is absolutely instinctual. And because it seems like such a deeply ingrained choice, many people think the color of your car is a great indicator of your personality. There may be something to it, too; while there is no proof the position of the stars when you’re born has any bearing on who you are, psychologists have showed color plays a very important role in our attitudes.
Drivers around Bradenton and Tampa are going to get a whole new way to express themselves with the new color options available for the 2014 Sonic subcompact. Chevy has announced Deep Magenta Metallic will be the first special edition color option available for the new Sonic, followed by a Cool Blue and a Dragon Green.
But what might these colors have to say about the drivers who choose them? Let’s take a look.
- Red – This one might be obvious, but red cars attract drivers that like action, speed, and performance. And contrary to popular belief, red cars get pulled over no more often than other cars.
- Yellow – Like the sun, yellow car owners are optimistic, bright, and cheery. Nothing gets them down, except maybe when that ominous “Check Engine” light comes on.
- Purple or Magenta – As the royal color of ancient Rome, purple shades are for those who have big ideas and favor the creative sides of their brains. Designers and other creative types alike may find themselves drawn to the Magenta hue of the new 2014 Sonic.
- Green – Like the evergreen, green represents everlasting youth and a respect for tradition. Expect many green car drivers to be on top of car care and maintenance.
- Blue – It takes a lot of cups of water rolling in unison to make up the big blue ocean. Drivers of blue cars are great team members and easy going on the road, even in the most frustrating of traffic.
