• Gross Combined Weight Rating: How much your loaded vehicle and your loaded trailer weigh when combined
• Curb Weight: How much your vehicle weighs when empty with only standard equipment, fuel, and other essentials (also called the vehicle weight)
• Gross Vehicle Weight Rating: How much your vehicle weighs when considering passengers inside
• Axle Ratio: Refers to the revolutions per minute of the driveshaft and the rear axle; power is calculated with the frequency and the weight being hauled
• Gross Trailer Weight: How much your loaded trailer weighs
• Trailer Tongue Weight: How much weight is placed on the trailer tongue for ultimate balance and safety

Maximum Trailer Weight Ratings of Chevrolet Trucks

The maximum trailer weight rating gives you an idea of what type of cargo you’ll be able to haul with your truck. Each truck and brand have different trailer weight ratings, so be sure to check what your truck’s maximum rating may be. When you determine on your own how much you’ll be towing, be sure to account for the weight of additional passengers and other equipment involved.
