Cox Chevrolet Sponsored the Manasota Truck Night

A huge crowd gathered in the parking lot of the Applebees in Sarasota on Sunday, July 27, 2014 to cerebrate their mutual love of trucks. The event was The Manasota Truck Night, and Cox Chevrolet was one of the official sponsors. We can confirm that fun was had by all and that some of the most impressive and bizarre trucks you have ever seen were on display.

More Than 300 Trucks on Display

Over 300 wildly different trucks packed into the parking lot. They illustrated  just how much potential for customization there is with a truck, and how much creativity and mechanical skill the trucks lovers around the greater Sarasota area have.  On the wacky side, we saw a vintage VW bug that was perched atop a massive lift kit, but it was a lot more common to see modified trucks ranging from mid-sized to monster-sized. Prizes were given out in a variety of categories including Street Wild, Street Mild, Unlimited (street illegal), People’s Choice, and Best Chevy (picked by us).

Cox Chevy was eager to participate in this event because we have long been the premier Sarasota-area dealership for quality Chevy pickups. And as any true pickup enthusiasts will tell you, Chevy has been making some of the best trucks on the road for years now. In fact, some of the crazy modifications on display at the Manasota Truck Night were originally purchased at our dealership.
