Last Chance to Own a New Chevy Avalanche

June 16th, 2013 by

2013_Chevrolet_AvalancheIt’s sunset for the Chevy Avalanche, and what a beautiful sunset it is. The Avalanche is one of the most unique vehicles on the market. Not quite a pickup and not exactly an SUV, the hard-working, well-equipped Avalanche is classified as a CUV, a crossover-utility vehicle.

Despite its good run, 2013 will be the last model year that Chevy will be producing Avalanches. Cox Chevy is currently carrying the 2013 Chevy Avalanche. We’ll gladly schedule a test drive with you, as well as tell you about the different available options.

Tough Power

The father of a close friend purchased an Avalanche last year and hailed it as “the perfect boat hauling vehicle.” It’s got enough power to haul most watercraft, with an 8100-pound towing limit; the 5.3L V8 makes sure of that with its power output of 335 lb-ft of torque. A heavy-duty, rear locking differential is also available to make your heavy-duty jobs a little bit easier.

Cargo Room

Compartments on either side of the bed make it easy to stow equipment, such as ropes and ratchet straps, for when you need them for safely moving your gear. And as far as room in the bed goes, you get over five feet of floor space. With the mid-gate lowered, total bed length is increased to 98 inches, more than enough room to store 4 x 8 sheets with the lift-gate up. A cover for the bed can help to keep your materials dry from the rain, as well as the cabin when the mid-gate is down.

Vehicle Features

The Avalanche is more than just practicality, though. It comes with great comfort features, as well, such as:

  • Bluetooth handsfree calling
  • SiriusXM satellite radio
  • OnStar capabilities
