John Legend Featured in New Chevy Impala Ad
Carrying on its recent trend of pairing its new 2013 and 2014 lineup with great song classics, both new and old, Chevy is featuring pop star John Legend in a new ad campaign alongside the 2014 Impala.
A Perfect Match for Chevy
Why is it a perfect match? The completely redesigned Impala has a classic charm that beckons back to the wide-bodied and bold-faced Impalas of the 60’s and 70’s, a vintage quality that Legend’s voice echoes. The 2014 Impala already got a nice spot with Sinatra’s rendition of “Fly me to the Moon,” so featuring Legend helps to tie it nicely to the present.
It turns out that John Legend himself has a personal connection to Chevrolet. The first car that he owned was a Chevy, and being from the Midwest, he’s been a strong proponent of revitalizing Detroit and the American auto-industry.
“I see a lot of parallels between the renaissance of a classic brand like the Impala and what I try to do as an artist,” Legend said. “I strive to make my music innovative while grounded in a classic style. The Impala is a true classic, yet its understated elegance appeals to me today.”
Music and Power: Both at Your Fingertips
The 2014 Chevy Impala is currently available at Cox Chevy in Bradenton. With a max power rating of 305 hp, it easily lives up to its reputation for providing top-of-the-class performance.
What’s under the hood is really only half of what counts, though. The new Impala is available with:
- Bluetooth connectivity for handsfree calling, music streaming, and more
- Steering wheel-mounted controls for the audio system, so you never have to take your focus off of the wheel
- Dual-zone automatic climate control
