Consumer Reports Honors the 2014 Chevy Impala With Top Ratings

Now that’s a bold statement, but the new Impala has snagged a score of 95 out of 100 from Consumer Reports, placing it among the most highly rated vehicles the organization has ever reviewed, and truly earning the descriptor “excellent.”

Better Than Ever

The hike in score for this year’s Impala is especially impressive considering that last year the 2013 model only garnered a score of 63 out of 100. Chevy had known for a while that it needed to revamp its flagship sedan, and judging by the look and the performance of the 2014 edition, that’s exactly what Chevy did.

With its bold new fascia and proud stance, the 2014 Impala beckons back to the old models from the 60s and 70s. Its driving performance matches the bravado of the new look, which really helped the Impala stick out above the rest during Consumer Reports’ review. Riding on the same platform as the Cadillac XTS, the 2014 model has been praised for its smooth riding and tight handling.
