For the 2014 model year Chevrolet is reprising its popular Stingray Corvette nameplate for the first time since 1976. According to a recent announcement by Chevrolet, the new Stingray will be the most powerful standard model ever released, as well as the most fuel-efficient Corvette to date. The Corvette Stingray is All-New for 2014

Chevrolet has really outdone itself with the 2014 Corvette Stingray. In terms of performance, design, and technology, the new model looks to stand out from all others in its class. The next generation Corvette will share only two components with its previous generation and will feature an all-new frame, chassis, and powertrain in addition to a fully redesigned interior and exterior.

In terms of appearance, the Stingray will sport a more sculpted look with new lights, and will employ racetrack proven aerodynamics for maximum balance and low drag. Inside the new Corvette’s cabin, you’ll find stylish new materials such as hand-wrapped leather, carbon fiber, and the latest technology features.

The 2014 Stingray will be powered by an advanced 6.2L V8 engine that will utilize Active Fuel Management, direct injection, and other innovations to deliver unbeatable performance and fantastic fuel economy. The new V8 engine will produce an amazing 450 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque and will be able to accelerate from 0 to 60mph in less than four seconds!

A new seven-speed manual transmission with Active Rev Matching will debut with the 2014 Stingray. The new transmission is unique in that it anticipates the driver’s gear selections and will match the speed of the engine for the perfect shift. It certainly looks like this new model is going to live up to the Stingray name!
