The 2015 Chevy Impala Will Offer a Number of Impressive Changes

The redesigned 2014 Chevy Impala was one of the most impressive and critically-praised builds in the long-running model’s storied history. Rather than coasting through the next model year, the 2015 Chevy Impala will make the Impala even more impressive with a number of changes. Chevy engineers have built some thoughtful upgrades into the engine, the styling, and the interior technology. If you thought this full-sized sedan was great already, wait until you see what is coming down the pipeline.

Stop-Start Technology

Stop-start technology lets drivers enjoy some of the benefits of having a hybrid vehicle without having to pay the premium price. When the 2015 Chevy Impala reaches a stoplight, it will automatically shut the engine off and then automatically start it again when the accelerator is engaged. This may sound insignificant, but over time that saves a serious amount of gas. Fuel economy estimates haven’t been released yet, but expect a major improvement.

CNG Fuel Option

For the first time ever the Chevy Impala lineup will have a trim that runs on both compressed natural gas (CNG) and standard gasoline. This type of fuel is cleaner burning and typically less expensive. If it’s not available, though, you can still fill up with regular gasoline. Fuel efficiency ratings for this trim have not been released yet, but the natural gas tank should have a range of around 150 miles before switching over to the gas engine.

4G LTE

If you depend on the internet for work, play or navigation, the 2015 Chevy Impala will come packaged with 4G LTE coverage. This faster and more reliable internet coverage means your favorite online features will be available to your anywhere. Backseat passengers can also connect their phones, laptops, and iPads directly to the car’s wireless service.
