The 2014 Chevy Impala is Coming Soon to Cox Chevy
Here at Cox Chevy, we’re one of a few chevy dealerships in the Bradenton, FL-area that are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the 2014 Chevy Impala; ever since its world debut at the 2012 Paris Auto Show, we’ve been eager to get the stylish new take on Chevy’s flagship sedan into our showroom. With both GM and Chevy remaining very tight-lipped on the vehicle specs, rumors have been sparse — until we recently learned one tidbit about the Impala that may sadden our more nostalgic Chevy enthusiasts: the 2014 Impala won’t be carrying the front bench seat option, ending the option for Chevrolet permanently.
The 2014 Impala Will Introduce the 10th Generation

2014 Chevrolet Impala
The font bench seat has been a vehicle staple for Chevrolet ever since their very first manufactured vehicle in the 1911, the Series C Classic Six — but it seems the outgoing 2013 Chevy Impala will be the last Chevy vehicle to offer the option perhaps ever. From now on, the front row of every Chevy will be comprised of two bucket seats with a center stack.
Most drivers are often surprised that this isn’t already the case: but in fact on as recently as the 2013 Impala, for a mere $195 your front row could be upgraded to a bench. While it’s true that only about 10% of drivers thus far have chosen the upgrade, there are many drive-in movie lovers who will have to do without — at least for now. Chevrolet hasn’t ruled out the possibility of a front bench for future compact models where space might be at a premium, but we’ll have to wait to learn more.
In almost every other sense, what we’ve seen of the 2014 Impala so far has been nothing short of breathtaking. The Impala’s 10th generation will debut with an expression of Chevy styling accents that feel more akin to the Camaro, and will work to incorporate the Impala into the large Chevy design family. As far as the latest info on powertrain specs and infotech, you’ll have to stay tuned.
