General Motors has announce that the Sonic’s MSRP has been lowered, with new 2013 model expected to start at just $20,995 with a manual transmission.  For customers looking to purchase the top-of-the-line model, the Sonic RS will start at around $22,280, and comes equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Other new features will include a new RS-specific grille, new rear spoiler and rear fascia, 17-inch five-spoke wheel design, a stiffened and lowered suspension, and a power tilt-sliding sunroof. Available colors for the exterior will be Summit White, Victory Red, Black Granite Metallic, and Cyber Granite Metallic.

The interior of the RS will also be getting an upgrade, coming standard with leather appointed- front bucket seats, a leather-wrapped shifter knob and steering wheel, aluminum sport pedals, and Chevrolet MyLink technology.
