The First Generation Silverado 3500 HD (2007 to 2014)

Engine choices included standard gasoline and diesel, with debut diesel engines offering as much as 365 hp and 660 lb-ft of torque—upgrading to 397 hp and 765 lb-ft of torque for the 2013 Silverado 3500.

Early Silverado 3500s (2001 to 2006)

Before the HD designation, the Silverado 3500 was still a heavy duty pickup. As with the current models, the vehicle was praised for its durability, power, and capabilities, although high-tech features like Bluetooth and the HD’s Bose sound system had yet to become available.

A 6.6L turbodiesel offered drivers up to 300 hp and 520 lb-ft of torque, while the standard V8 was good for 300 hp and 360 lb-ft of torque.
