The 2014 Chevy Corvette has gotten quite a lot of attention lately, and while it may be a little bit before we get one of these in our used vehicle lot, rest assured that we want you to be ready for when they arrive.
The 2014 Corvette embraced the Stingray name and style for its revamp, giving drivers access to a ton of different options and an incredible powertrain on both the coupe and convertible builds. Under the hood of the Stingray is a 460-hp V8 paired with a sevent-speed transmission that kicks out up to 465 lb-ft of torque. It can go from zero to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds.
The C6 Corvette Convertible (2005 to 2013)
While it can be hard to argue with the Stingray, the fact is any Corvette is an incredible vehicle, especially when you’ve got the option to drop the top and feel the wind in your hair. The C6 debuted in 2005 and featured notable style and performance improvements over the previous generation or “C5.”
Some particularly nice features include a return to the exposed headlamps for the first time since 1962, an upgraded interior design, and a power-operated top for the convertible.
Initial models came standard with a 6.0L V8 rated at 400 hp, but just the very next year, models could get the 7.0L 505 hp Z06 engine. 2008 saw an upgrade to the standard powertrain as well, with a 6.2L V8 rated at 430 hp. And then there’s the ZL1, with its 638-hp supercharged V8.
