First Responder Discount Program at Cox Chevrolet

Who Is Eligible?

The First Responder Discount Program is open to eligible paid or volunteer:

• Firefighters
• Police (including police officers, sheriffs and sheriff’s deputy, correctional officers, state troopers, and federal law enforcement officers)
• EMTs/Paramedics
• 911 dispatchers

Verification

To determine eligibility, General Motors will use First Responder ID (ID.me) for firefighters, police, and EMT/paramedics to verify all criteria is met. This is one of few companies accredited by the federal government as a remote identity provider. Once verified, first responders will receive an authorization code for the discount, which they should bring to the dealership, along with a copy of their driver’s license with the license number redacted.

Meanwhile, 911 dispatchers must create an account at www.gmfirstresponderdiscount.com to receive an authorization code. They must bring this code, a copy of their driver’s license with the license number redacted, and documentation of their 911 training and education, or a 911 card that contains the participant’s full name.

What Else You Need to Know

A few other things to note with the First Responder Discount Program include:

• The discount cannot be shared.
• The discount cannot be shared on prior purchases.
• The discount applies to all Chevrolet models, including the Chevrolet Cruze, the Chevrolet Equinox, and the Chevrolet Silverado.
• Other brands included in the program are Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC.
